The Spiritual Process
a Liberation Social Workers perspective on the contours and meaning of being-knowing-becoming beyond material or physical processes
The guiding principles of all animate and inanimate phenomena are undergirded by Divine values - harmony, balance, reciprocity, interconnectedness, etc. Excluding the natural world order from conscious thought, problem-solving consciousness, or epistemology is not sacrosanct. We see the radiating beauty of the day and night sky, we feel the coolness and calmness from the multidirectional winds, we sense the awe or wonder of climatic or physical-environmental changes, and we more so than ever, surrender to the unfathomable preoccupations within the Cosmic universe.
Our very physical bodies are energetic conduits, relying on electrical signals to inform psychophysiological activity, mental process, motor coordination, and integrative responsiveness to environmental stimuli. This metaphysical-spiritual assertion of our humanity transcends the physicalness of human beings by analyzing the question - where do energy signals come from - better yet, what are their origins? A cosmic-philosophical question - indeed, without questioning the cosmology and concomitant mythology that follows, we will remain bereft of knowledge about humanity’s origins, nature, and adopted ontological framework.
All religions (i.e., spiritual systems not akin to religious institutions - such as Judeo-Christian religions) began with a conception of the cosmological system of life and reality. Through inquiry and sensemaking, mythological narratives, stories, events, deities, etc., are formed to edify the image, ideas, thoughts, perspectives, positionality, divine pursuits, etc., of a people with a shared, collective consciousness rooted in culture, tradition, customs, mores, beliefs, and values. Spirituality underlies all pursuits of knowledge and every action or process manifested in the geophysical world and greater Cosmos.
The Divine Source (i.e., ethereal, invisible, nonmaterial, Omnipotent) is the Mother + Father of all creations in and through itself.
Thank you, Kyle.
I love your question: "where do energy signals come from - better yet, what are their origins?" You give us a wonderful opportunity to explore, reflect and unearth the heart. . .
